I know another thread with similar problems here, booting three times ect .... but not with the new specific problem, this one seems to be new to me and I hope for a solution without the technician having to change the Hardware Motherboard.
I had the original ME firmware and now an update was made by Lenovo Vantage, but this unfortunately did not work properly and led to the following:
1. at boot the "Strg P" entry has disappeared
2. in the Bios the entry with ME Firmware Version is empty
3. ME is shown as deactivated or not present in Hardware Manager, The result is that you can no longer perform flash if ME is no longer present in the system.
4. When restarting or reactivating, it will take about 35 seconds for the Lenovo logo to be displayed and the system will start up
this is all very frustrating, i hope that there will be a software solution, or maybe someone knows a solution ....
Thanks all for support.....

Same issues as you, the BIOS even does not display the version of Intel ME. Also, the booting up time is much longer than usual, over 30 seconds. I don't know how to fix it. And in the forums, I can only find the solution for shutting down three times, not the phenomenon of mine. I hope the staff of Lenovo could solve this problem with software updating.

I am having boot problems also after this update .
My P52 8750 takes 15 seconds to show the initial boot logo before prompting me for fingerprints . It just does nothing during that period only with lights on the power . Then it recognizes my print but still asks me to put in passwords for each of my harddrive .
After i put my passwords in . I get logged in and everything works fine as expected .
I do hear the fan more often and my CPU is atleaste 5 degrees C warmer on idle .
It seems at slow speeds the fan is always running .
My Laptop is vertically docked and gets very good airflow .

Called into the Lenovo help desk ( absolute waste of my time ) Case : 40862MP
Tech offered me restoration media or a replacement fan .
I asked him if there is someone who supports software .
He gave me a number which turned out to be an IVR system into Enterpise Software Support .
I am going to patiently wait for the resolution in the forum .
Lenovo support has become so bad . I have used thinkpad for over 15 years called them maybe 1-2 times .
But after buying a P-52 looks like i am calling them every month for something or the other .
QC is absolutely horrible looks like .

Question to Lenovo:
is there a solution by a software update possible, or do you have to swap the motherboard?
my system has cost 4k € and still has warranty, I ask for a solution!
I think if the firmware update of the Intel ME is so difficult
and works only under special circumstances, it should not be made
accessible to the normal users, but should be done only by a technician of Lenovo.
But it always comes true again:
never change a running system

It seems that only 8750H version got into this problem. That is so emergency issue, My 3rd party sys cannot boot up caused by integrated graphics (I thought it is caused by intel ME)

I think you also updated to latest windows cummilative update .
Which changes the Nvidia drivers to some genric Ms driver .
You can login in safe mode and rollback the display drivers .
I also had display problem after this update .
I went into device manager rolled back the Nvidia display drivers .

For the problem where ME firmware version is shown as blank in BIOS setup, we are currently investigating this problem. Please see my post here:

that's great, you're investigating that now.
hopefully it can also be fixed with a software patch, so that does not need to be replaced the whole system board.
I will wait for a solution and trust in your skills.
