Thinkpad P52: TrackPoint Firmware Update broke Touchpad and Trackpoint help plz!

Dear All, 

 

My Thinkpad P52 are working fine. But after i'm updated the TrackPoint Firmware Update Utility version 07 Nov 2018 from lenovo office site, my  Touchpad and Trackpoint stoped working.

 

 

I'm retry install but same error

 

 

After restart Windows, i seen this error "PS/2 Mouse Not Detected" on startup processing.

 

 

I looking on this forum, and seen many people was installed this firmware got same error !

 

X1 Carbon 6th Gen: Synaptics Touchpad Firmware Update broke Touchpad and Trackpoint : forums.lenovo.com/t5/ThinkPad-X-Series-Laptops/X1-Carbon-6th-Gen-Synaptics-Touchpad-Firmware-Update-broke/td-p/4248083/highlight/false 

 

This issue solved on X1 Carbon when Lenovo release new version to fix this error on X1 Carbon, but on the Lenovo Thinkpad P52 still have error and we waiting for solutions or new release firmwares to fix this issue.

 

My Thinkpad P52 : Win 10 x64 , I7, P3000, 32GB ,1TB PCIe

I have the same issue on my P52 as well, installed the trackpoint firmware, it errored out before completing, and now the trackpoint and touchpad are not recognized, PS/2 error on startup, transparent mode error when trying to re-run the firmware.

"This is somewhat infuriating, and as someone who is responsible for making purchasing decisions around developer machines for our shop, it really puts a bad taste in my mouth about using Lenovo products again. This problem (which is likely just due to garbage drivers, firmware) needs to be addressed by them. Losing individual customers may not concern them, but they should be careful when enterprise customers are not happy and affect their decision to purchase large quantities of products for enterprise customers and causing images serious influence on the Thinkpad P5X brands. ..." from  Lenovo's customers .

 

We're still waiting solutions to fix errors without send back laptops return to Lenovo support services centers !
