My Lenovo Thinkpad P70 "20ER" sometimes hangs at red lenovo Start Logo. See picture.
Secure Boot is off. Fingerprint is off. OS Custimation is enabled. UEFI Bios.
This behavior is about 1-2 x / month and i cannot force this issue.
I have no idea.
The Notebook is installed with NVME SSD and Windows 10 and Bios is V 2.14 and current.
All drivers and software current version.
And i also have installed clean the computer new, but the issue is always present, 1-2x / month.
My Problem (hangs at startup on red Lenovo Logo), was also at my Thinkpad T550
Can anybody help me?

I don't really know, but a disk that is a little slow to respond (defective?) can cause those symptoms. Are you still under warranty?

This used to be an issue (six or so months ago) with my P70.
Have you tried switching to discreet graphics only? That, along with current drivers, seemed to make my intermittent problem go away.

My Problem (hangs at startup on red Lenovo Logo), was also at my Thinkpad T550, and the Thinkpad T550 had only 1 Graphic Card - Intel HD Graphics 5500,, so switching to discrete graphics can not be the solution.
Has anybody a solution?

I have had other computers pause when turned on if there is a non-bootable drive or a card reader plugged into one of the USB ports. The machine is usually set to boot first from USB devices in its BIOS/UEFI firmware, and when it sees the device on the USB bus, it attempts to boot from it, and takes a long time before it times out and tries the next device in theboot order.
