I have a nice bluetooth headset that goes over one ear.  It's a GE model 86710 and is compliant with bluetooth v1.2.  I want to use it to listen to Internet radio stations and with Skype.  I'm trying to pair it with my new Thinkpad W520 running Windows 7 64bit Professional.

Both the laptop and Windows 7 are current with updates as of 7/3/2011.

When I turn my bluetooth radio on (Fn + F5) and the headset on and click on the add new device button, only my roommate's bluetooth computer is displayed as available bluetooth devices.  How can I get Windows 7 to recognize my bluetooth headset?  I was able to use this headset with Windows XP and Bluesoleil software in the past.

Check settings on the headset to ensure it is in discoverable mode.
