I just replaced the power jack on my W530 Thinkpad but now when I plug in the adapter my thinkpad turns on automatically, without me hitting the power on button, and the only visible light is the power button. Here is a video I uploaded demonstrating this:
As you can see there is nothing on the screen and when I hook it up to my monitor nothing is visible there either. I tried double checking each piece of hardware to make sure I put things back together correctly and couldn't find any mistakes.
When i was taking the machine apart at first i damaged the backup battery. Not sure if that would cause this issue?
Anyone have any ideas? Thanks

"I damaged the backup battery" - What happened?
How did you fix it? Is it possible you took it apart without removing the main battery?

The battery was this this small button type on the inside that lenovo called the backup battery and not the main laptop battery
I replaces the power jack with a same model but different design as the older one looked proprietary. It turns on now (with the old jack it wouldn't.
Could it be because it doesn't like the new part ?

I read what you wrote. I asked about the main battery.
