Thinkpad W541 Backlit Keyboard buttons not working

I recently powered my Thinkpad W541 and the calculator button was operating itself at will. So I did a recovery on the computer (since I rarely use it) and after that, I turned on the computer and realised that some keys are no longer responding.

UN-responsive keys are

Arrow up Key

Arrow left key

4, 1, 0, and period key on the numeric section by the right side of the keyboard.

When I tap each of these keys I hear a tone but no response on screen.

Please how do I fix this issue, I really don't want to spend money on this?

Re: Thinkpad W541 Backlit Keyboard buttons not working

regarding the backlight keyboard button, that on my P51 I would use the fn key, using fn+F11, which is supposed to turn it on and off, doesn't do it. It launches Lenovo settings which redirects me to Lenovo vantage.

Re: Thinkpad W541 Backlit Keyboard buttons not working

The Backlit toggle is working fine. (I was trying to describe the type of keyboard in my subject)

My major problem is that the keys I listed above ain't functioning but only beeps a tone when I Press them.
