Thinkpad p40 yoga System Crash

2016-04-19, 1:02 AM

Hi

I am curious if anyone else has faced the problem of the system randomly crashing? the screen turns blue and it says that something went wrong with the system, restarting in a few seconds.

It happens when i open and close the laptop multiple times with in an hr, so like 4 times with in an hr and on the 4th time the system crashes. Also the laptop is in battery saver mode.

If it happens again ill try to get a picture, but i am curious if anyone else has had their system crash?

I am also cuious if this is a problem i should persue and talk to lenovo or should i wait for the occasional update?

Thanks

Download and run BlueScreenView:  http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/blue_screen_view.html

It's a free program which will allow you to see more details of the dump file created when your machine crashes in Windows.  On each dump file, scroll over and check under the "Caused by Driver" heading.  Is the file name there consistent?
