Using a 90w ac adapter as a temporary alternative for the 135w adapter for W510

Hello.

I have a 90w ac adapter that I used with my old T61 Thinkpad that I have been using as a temporary replacement for the 135w ac adapter for my W510 because the 135w is broken.  I understand that using a 90w adapter causes the computer to reduce processing speed because of the decrease in provided power, but will extended use of the 90w ac adapter with a W510 Thinkpad cause damage to the computer?  I intend to get the appropriate adapter, but cannot as yet and want to know if there is a limit to how long I should use the 90w adapter.

Thanks for your help.

I don't think it will cause a problem. It will simply run slower
