W500 40622XG PCI Serial Port Driver missing

2008-11-03, 12:46 PM

Hello everyone,

I purchased a brand new W500 (4062-2XG) yesterday and updated vista and Thinkpad system. But after the updates, it shows the driver for PCI Serial Port is missing, I used PC-Doctor to find out the following information:

PCI location: PCI BUS 0, DEVICE 3, FUNCTION 3

Device Identification: Vendor ID: 32902, Device ID 10823

Device Class: Code: 7, Sub class code: 0, Programming Interface: 2.

Can you please tell me which driver I should download and install for it? I've tried many but all failed.

Cheers,

Simon

I got a T500 and T61 with the same problem. Both use Windows XP SP2. If you disable option Intel (R) AMT Control from BIOS you wont be getting the PCI Device missing driver when you load windows.

Alternatively you can download and install the Management Engine Interface (Intel AMT 4.0) driver and the Local Manageability Service and Serial Over LAN.
