W510 Color Calibration

2011-02-02, 8:15 AM

Hi guys,

Am new to this forum, I have been using the Lenovo W510(non touch screen) for roughly a year and I just remembered that the laptop had a colour calibration, and being a passionate photographer, I was really curious about this hardware as it would really help in my photography workflow.

The problem is after searching my files, I don't have the program in my thinkpad and tried researching online. The results showed that it's actually a Pantone huey™PRO X-Rite® Colorimeter. I tried downloading the software from Pantone, but it didn't seem to work(or am I downloading the wrong programme? Please help)  any kind souls willing to help me solve my problem and direct me to the right file? All your help is much appreciated.

Thanks,

Marcus

First, check and verify that your W510 has the color sensor. It is located on the keyboard bezel near to the fingerprint reader. Then, download the following:

I have a color calibrator unit just below my keyboard, installed the Huey software (last version), but it just doesn't work.  I start the software, click "start", and nothing happens.  I close the lid, nothing happens .. it just doesn't start to calibrate..

Do I need to enable something anywhere?

I'm having the same problem, too. the color calibaration wouldn't work after installing the driver, with clean intalled Windows 7 pro x64.

Hello JVlarc and nicolastai,

I would like you to try and uninstall and reinstall the drivers for your color calibrator.

Please go to Programs and features through the control panel.  I am not sure the exact name of the program but it will have HueyPRO Calibration in it.

Once you find this program, uninstall it from your computer.

After it is uninstalled please go to the link below and download the application from the Lenovo support site.

Once downloaded hopefully it will work.

Please post your progress,

Alex
