Re: W520 BSOD 0x00000124

[ Edited ]

Just want to update the issue, now it seems my laptop run fine. No BSOD after long period (max cpu ~ 3.2ghz) of games played. And no BSOD after left idle. I didn't do anything to fix it, I just use the bios 1.32 (used to be like before). If the laptop is fine like this I'll be more than satisfied, but I doubt the problem will come again since is so random.

And I would like to thank to everyone here try to get my issue solved.

My problem is not solved yet. After two weeks without blue screen, I got it again last night while I was playing games. The problem is very random, I wonder what I could report to the lenovo repair stuff and I really want to have my motherboard replaced. Anyone know where could I get this service? I'm not sure support center in my country could handle it, since this product is not availble in store yet, let alone a spare motherboard for replacement.

I think I have to go this way, but I'll wait to do this after I have another laptop to use, I'm waiting for dell Latitude by the way.

Latop sent for repair, will update the result. Meanwhile I'm enjoying this slower latitude but no single crash so far.

Re: W520 BSOD 0x00000124

Hello.

I also think I got this problem with random BSOD on my W520.

What do I need to do to get the CPU replaced?

Do I need to hand over some dumps o other evidence of a faulty CPU?

Which subsystem is causing your BSOD?

Go to the repair shop and ask them to check your computer. And the minidump file is automatically generated by Windows in %SystemRoot%\Minidump folder. In my case I have ask them to see the dump file and explained them that is the hardware issue and ask for CPU check up/replacement.
