In my experience, the only one of those that seems to matter is igfxpers.exe. If you don't disable it, it will un-load the display profile whenever your computer comes out of suspend, or any time the screen dims for a UAC prompt in Windows.
There is one unwanted side-effect of disabling that process, though: if you connect your laptop to an external display and your display resolution gets changed, it won't automatically change it back when you disconnect the external display.

Josh you made my day. You are a hero ;-)
I am a programmer, and a dummy when it comes to colors and graphics. I was so disappointed after installing this machine and seeing this broken colors all the time.
I really don't understand why Lenovo is not able to install a "good average" color profile with the drivers. Now my W520 screen is even better and my WSXGA+ from the T500 which I loved before.
Thanks a lot,

Bringing this thread back to life, thank you Op for your effort in putting together and sharing this profile.
Does anyone else notice that when you switch to battery, the screen washes out and slowly comes back to normal (good color).
I have 2 W530's and they both do this (Win8 Pro)

You can fix it with these instructions:

not sure if you are still around. I was looking to calibrate my w530 and I don't have the inbuilt sensor. I just found the profile you provided and its looking much better. I do have an X-rite MDSV sensor that I use with an NEC monitor, and have been trying to see if i can use it on the lenovo screen but so far no luck. Wondering if you have any thoughts.

I have included the ICC profile (obtained using Spyder4 Pro) for the W530 FHD LCD (B156HW01 V4)

Do your color profiles apply only the b156hw01 v4 screen. I recently broke my screen and order a replacement, however i got delivered an b156hw01 v3 model which has only 60% color gamut. Will i be able to apply this color profile to this screen, and if yes, will it make much of improvement in color coverage? thank you very much.Waiting for your answer.
