W530 Trackpoint not working

Just purchased a new to me W530 with Windows 10 Pro.  It was fine for 24 hours, then the Trackpoint failed.  

Device manager said that there was an event and the device migrated.  It then reinstalled and downloaded drivers and it hasn't worked since.  BIOS says it's enabled, start menu under mouse, the box for enabled is not clicked, and it won't let me click it.  Yes, I'm the administrator.  Tried redownloading Synaptic drivers and restarting, no joy.  Under uninstall it shows two drivers:  a Lenovo driver and a Synaptics driver.  If I uninstall either one, I'm afraid I'll lose the ability to use my cursor.    All I can use right now is a plug in mouse because the touch pad isn't reliable now.  Suggestions?
