Hi Lenovo Community,
I have a W530 and recently purchased a Lenovo 70+ 6 cell battery (FRU 45N1001 ASM 42N1001, 11S45N175048Z00068K2HV KC 2017.12.01) from eBay. I fitted the battery and when I power up the system with the battery installed I get the following message "The battery installed is not supported by this system and will not charge. Please replace the battery with the correct Lenovo battery for this system. Press the ESC key to continue."
Q1. I thought that the 70+ and 70++ (9 cell) were the correct battery options for the W530--what did I miss?
Q2. Ultimately I can charge this battery in the W510 I have and so is it possible to change something in the BIOS such that the system will power up without needing the ESC key to be pressed each time?

I ran Power Manager on the W530, went to the Battery tab and scrolled down under Battery Details. The FRU is 42T4911, which equates to a 55+ NOT a 70+. I have requested a refund on eBay as it was advertised a genuine Lenovo 70+ Battery (FRU 45N1001)...
