W530 w520 compatibility

Hi, w520 died 5 days out of warranty. Have no interest in w540, but the w530 is still available. Anyone know if the following items from my w520 will work with the w530?

1) 4x original Samsung 4gb mem modules.
2) crucial m4 256gb msata ( I know the 540 has no msata)
3) w520 original PSU ( I think this is 170W)
4) mini doc 3 with 2x 30" monitors connected ( both 2560x1600 )
5) crucial m4 2.5" SSD (I think it's 9mm high)
6) 6 cell and 9 cell battery

Re: W530 w520 compatibility

Everything should work except the batteries. The batteries only work if they have a designation on the back of 70+ or 70++. They are the same size, but the 530 added another chip to support fast charge. If they were bought from Lenovo, they might be correct, depending on when they were bought. All batteries sold recently are 70+.

You might call Lenovo.  Sometimes they will make some sort of accommodation if a machine dies a few days after the warranty.  Also, check the bill of sale and see when you actually bought the machine.  The warranty date often starts out to be the manufacture date.
