W540 - Best Resolution for native 2880x1620

I set my DPI at 200 for the native mode 2990x1620, but many programs do not display correctly:

Quicken

Photoshop CC and CS

Some like:

Skype

SnappyFax

TuneUp Utilities....  and others.

Displayed fairly well, albeit, there is something to be desired, but today, after a reboot, and some ThinkVantage updates, they all changed to teeny tiny scaling.

Any hints appreciated.

Re: W540 - Best Resolution for native 2880x1620

2880x1620 = 2x(1440x810), but that really starts to defeat the purpose of getting the high res screen for more effective pixels.
