Re: W540 Harddisk

You'll need to shrink it offline using some other tool such as Partition Wizard. There are files that are at around the 450GB mark that Windows can't move because they're locked by the OS.

W520: 2960XM, Q2000M @ 1091/1380, 32GB RAM, 500GB&750GB HDD & 500GB SSD, FHD&MB168B+
X61T: L7500, 4GB RAM, 500GB HDD, XGA screen, Ultrabase
W550s: 5600U, K620M at 1164/1281, 16GB RAM, 512GB SSD, 3K touchscreen
X200s: SL9400, 6GB RAM, 64GB SD card, WXGA+ screen

Re: W540 Harddisk

you have unmoveable files controlled by the os. (swap file, hibernate file, restore points) The link I posted tells how to temporarily delete them.

Re: W540 Harddisk

Hi Sherif_Raafat

1. Try to defrag your hard drive free space with Defraggler, so you may be able to shrink the C: more through Disk Management.

2. If it still does not help much, you would need a 3rd party partition manager.
