W541 Doesn't Wake From Sleep While Docked

When bringing the W541 out of sleep while docked, the internal monitor and external monitor do not turn on. I believe the PC itself wakes from sleep, but I can't see anything. I have to do a hard reboot. I have the latest display driver as recommended by the Lenovo update utility. I downloaded the latest firmware for the docking station (UltraDock), but when running the executable it does nothing. No window presents itself. Any ideas?

I should note it's related to this thread I posted last year. When running the firmware update exe for the dock, it's crashing and creating a dmp file.

Have you disabled Fast Startup in the Power Options in Control Panel?

 

If you upgraded your video card drivers, revert to a version one level below.

The issue is with the dock i think. It doesn't happen when not docked. Fast Startup is off. According to Lenovo update, I have the latest video driver. 

 

The other concern I have is I can't update the firmware for the dock. Each time I run the executable, it does nothing. Tracing it I see it creates a 64MB dump file in AppData\Local\CrashDumps. This same crash happens with running the Lenovo update tool.
