Win 10 build 1607 on P50

I installed the anniversary update without any issues. When I returned to my office and tried to boot my laptop on the docking station it blue screens every time. I have to boot it up undocked and then place it into the docking station. The docking station is a ThinkPad Workstation Dock 40A5.

I have updated all drivers available through the Lenovo Companion app. The Intel ME and Realtek Audio Driver fail to install. I have tried to install them several times undocked with no luck. The Realtek driver pops up a windows that says the command option /as is not supported and then lists all of the available switches for the command.

Re: Win 10 build 1607 on P50

Have you turned off "Fast Startup" in the power section of the power plan? It sounds like the system is not going through POST correctly.

Re: Win 10 build 1607 on P50

Think Engineering would like to see if upgrading the dock firmware resolves the issue you reported with your P50 ThinkPad after upgrading to Windows 10 Anniversary edition.

The latest firmware for the ThinkPad Workstation Dock 230W can be downloaded here:

Please let us know if this or the fast startup suggestion resolve the failure to boot up issue you are experiencing while docked.

Thank you,
