By far the easiest solution is to run Windows XP in a virtual machine, with either windows 7 or linux as the host O/S. Windows 7 pro or above has a free Windows XP virtual machine, right?

 

The virtualized XP will run slower than running natively, but it will still be far faster than a machine from the era that Windows XP was designed for.

That's what I meant by Server 2003. It will recognize up to 128GB of RAM.

A virtualized Windows XP system should run near native speed due to VT-x and related virtualization technologies, assuming the VM program supports it.

That isn't a problem for the millions of people that have switched to a 64 bit verson of Windows 7.

Lenovo w520 and winxp 64bit drivers

I install winxp 64bit on Lenovo w520 , regarding video i select discrete graphics only from BIOS , and everything looks fine.

 

just i have problem in device manager , there is something shown in device manager  Monitor and unknown device,

 

any way to fix that.
