this is easy. What you need to do is to create a .txt-file (google how to create .bat, name is as you like, e.g. killtposd.bat) which killst the tposd.exe while started.
.bat content is:
@ECHO OFF TASKKILL /IM tposd.exe
save it somewhere and place a shortcut in Windows Startup:
(WIN + R: shell:startup)
Procedure is also descibed in the comments section of my last updated script, vide supra.

Unfortunally that didn't work. It appears that Lenovo did a BIOS update and added several items. MY guess is that had something to do with it. I have looked in the BIOS but didn't see any options that might cause it. I'm lost.

Guys, I took some of the ideas from ligius- here and created a Windows Service that ensures the backlight is on at boot and also re-enables it after system resumes from sleep if you want to give it a go. Path's and brightness are currently hardcoded but I'll add the option to use a config file at some point.
Give it a go. Hopefully it works for you all too.

Yep, sorry about that. The install command in my README has a typo. Do NOT use the -u option, that's the uninstall option. The command should be

Hmm, not real sure what's happenning then. Could be some weird issue with your OS language setting or something. It installs fine for me on 3 separate systems. Do me a favor, check event viewer to see if there is a bit more details on the missing resource, open an issue on my github page and post the results. I'll take a look at it tomorrow.
