Lenovo's price is ok. If you do need extra, I can. Just PM.

I have a somewhat related question.  (At least in belongs in this thread.)  Has anyone heard of high-quality aftermarket adapters with heatsinks which fit in the place of the Lenovo trays in the P50s/P70s? I'd be particularly interested in aluminum.  In a different thread someone talked about 3D printing a heatsink/tray adapter, but I'd be more interested in a tested aftermarket version from a reliable brand.  With all of these M.2 NVMe drives being the same size, one would think that somebody is already making these.

P50, Intel Xeon E3-1505M v5, 4K, NVidia Quadro M2000M 4GB, Dual Samsung 950 PRO 512GB NVMe drives non-RAID, 32 GB Crucial Technology DDR4 2133 (PC4 17000). Windows 10 Home.

Dell M7710 comes with a cooling pad for NVMe SSD. Note, the material must be made of non conductive, so there are not much choices (considering there isn't enough room for passive cooling - e.g., cooper pad + cooling pad).

I had forgotten that they had to be non-conductive to avoid shorting out the drive.  I guess it must be tricky to have something which does not conduct electricity but which does conduct heat.  Nevertheless, I would think that the plastic would keep all the heat around the drive which can't be good.  I wasn't thinking so much about thermal throttling, which would be a non-issue for what I do, but longevity of the drive itself.  The cooler the drive is, I would assume the longer it would last.

This one works fine. https://www.arctic.ac/us_en/thermal-pad.html

Note. I do not have this but learned from others.

Thanks!  I was not familiar with the product.  I guess you have to cut it to size yourself.  I've never been a very patient fellow, unfortunately.  :-(  I assume you buy the (50 x 50 x 0.5 mm) size?

50 X 50 should work fine on RAM. Buy two maybe. If you have PRIME account, that ships to you fast.

Choose 50 x 50 x 1 mm size. 0.5 is typically for VRAM.
