Re:Lenovo Vantage System Update Error "There is not enough disk space to perform the current task"

From your log we found a problem with the WMI service that is built into Windows 10.  could you please open a PowerShell windows and then enter this command as shown in my screenshot?  Please post a screenshot of your result.

gwmi win32_logicaldisk

I had this same issue and this worked for me. It was an issue with the WMI repository.

https://techcommunity.microsoft.com/t5/ask-the-performance-team/wmi-rebuilding-the-wmi-repository/ba-p/373846

Re-register all of the dlls and recompile the .mofs in the wbem folder and re-registering WMI Service and Provider. You can use the following script by saving to txt file then renaming to .bat and running from command prompt with admin right and changing focus to following directory: C:\Windows\System32\Wbem.

@echo off
sc config winmgmt start= disabled
net stop winmgmt /y
%systemdrive%
cd %windir%\system32\wbem
for /f %%s in ('dir /b *.dll') do regsvr32 /s %%s
wmiprvse /regserver
winmgmt /regserver
sc config winmgmt start= auto
net start winmgmt
for /f %%s in ('dir /s /b *.mof *.mfl') do mofcomp %%s

b. Reboot the machine and test WMI

This helped me too

Hi Sami2020,

It seems that the WMI command correctly return the size of your disk

.Do you still see the issue of "no enough" device?

If so, could you try the attached command line?

you could run it from command line and return us the screenshot of result

Or you could download the WMIDiag tool from Microsoft,

It scan the WMI and report errors:

https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=7684

Run the following command line and it would create the report file:

cscript.exe wmidiag.vbs

And the steps from just an it guy is the steps to rebuild WMI.

And it is works for all Lenovo.

Could you paste the logs from folder below?

C:ProgramData\Lenovo\ImController\SystemPluginData\LenovoSystemUpdatePlugin\logs\

And show the screenshot of space information in My Device in Vantage?
