Problem with keybord and touch pad

2017-08-28, 15:41 PM

I have a Thinkpad Yoga (20CD-0038GE). Since last week the q-key and the touch pad are acting strange. Here are the symptoms:

- After starting the notebook the login screen appears and the password field will instantaneously be filled with qs like the key was constantly pressed. Pressing some other key stops this. The same thing happens when hinging the yoga in tablet mode and back to notebook when being in login screen.

- The q-key itself is not working at all

- Sometimes pressing any key generates some unwanted qs or even acts like the q-key is constantly pressed

- Furthermore the touch pad (mouse) just stops reacting and can only be recalled by pressing the ctrl-key

So far I just cleaned the keyboard froqm (oops, it happened again) the top. The notebook was never exposed to any liquid or so. Does anybody have similar problems or an idea how to nail down the root cause?

Thanks for your support,
