I upgraded today and have the same problem. Very grateful to this thread for all the advice on replacing the hated and noisy Clickpad. It's been a relief to have the buttons back. But now under Windows 10 the buttons are ineffective while the TrackPoint still functions. Is there a driver that works with the new OS?

Actually just reinstalled the n10gx25w.exe driver - that did the trick.

Hi there, hows the win 10 experience on the thinkpad yoga?  i found that in win 8.1,  the scrolling of the 3 buttons trackpad  is reversed in the metro apps, wonder is this issue fixed in windows 10?

thanks!

This is gettng on my nerves. WIn 10 installs the newest Synaptics driver, which disables the trackpoint buttons. I installed the older version to make it work, but after a while, Win 10 automatically updates the driver again! And it seems like there is no way to disable automatic driver updates in Win 10.

The only long term solution now is to somehow find a lookup file in the driver that links the type of trackpad used, but I'm not an expert in this area.

Hi thinkpadfreak,

You can disable hardware updates in Windows 10.  Here's how:

Re: Switch ThinkPad Yoga Clickpad with new TrackPad - Need "official Win10" driver

To the Lenovo Team-

I know this is an odd request, but here it is anyway:

It would be REALLY GREAT if you could please release a driver package specifically for the Yoga S1 users who have replaced their awful ClickPad with the trackpad-with-buttons from the Yoga 12.  Even if you only post it in this thread, a signed driver package, designed for Windows 10 64-bit, for those of us who are such die-hard ThinkPad fans that we're willing to replace parts rather than switch brands - would be really, really appreciated.

THANK YOU FOR CONSIDERING THIS.

(PS: I tried the posted drivers listed on the support site for the Yoga 12, Win10, and the buttons didn't work.  Only the n10gx25w.exe seems to work)

Re: Switch ThinkPad Yoga Clickpad with new TrackPad - Need "official Win10" driver

thanks topmahof! i'll try it and see if the updates will really stop.

but i strongly agree with brillat. As lenovo consolidated all the synaptics driver together, we know that the latest synaptic driver contains the exact touchpad model we need. I believe that because the driver selects the touchpad type using the device id of the yoga S1, it would install the old clickpad model instead.

could you help us by asking the engineers if we could modify certain inf files to trick our modified yogas into installing the correct touchpad driver? it will really make our lives so much more pleasant! (and yes! diehard thinkpad fans treat our trackpoint buttons so seriously that we get depression over it :-(

I know the feeling and I wish there was a way but we mods here are all volunteers, users just like yourself.  We don't have access to the engineers.

I applaud you guys for doing what you are doing.
