Thinkpad S1 Yoga and ArtDock script compatibility

2014-09-04, 5:30 AM

As a Zbrush Artist I need to get artdock script working with the Thinkpad S1 Yoga.

Can anyone help getting the ArtDock script to work and run on the thinkpad Yoga?

"For the uninitiated, ArtDock uses a utility called AutoHotkey to create on-screen triggers for a variety of commonly used inputs including keyboard shortcuts and mouse clicks. With an ArtDock enabled, you can confidently use your Slate PC in tablet mode without constantly reaching for your keyboard or mouse."

Artdock Credit goes to Konartist3D for the awesome original script. He made all of the icons and original scripts for the series 7 slate and ep121.

This dock support Photoshop, SketchBook Pro, Paint Tool Sai, MyPaint, ZBrush, Maya, Topogun, Silo and 3DS Max.

"ZBrush and several art programs requires them and carrying around keyboards and other devices didn't make them truly portable. This is when we stumble across the original virtual hotkey script. It was almost perfect being able to touch the sceen for hotkeys while using the stylus."

Install Instructions:

1) Install the newest version of AutoHotKeyhere

2) Unzip the file here to the root of your c drive. So it should look like "C:/artdock"

3) Drag the "ArtDock" shortcut onto your windows toolbar.

Some Notes:
1) Clicking the toolbar multiple times will toggle touch off and on. Super handy!
4) Photoshop logo is for PS (duh). The Skechbook logo will work for all other programs.
5) Original Script by Konartist3D is here.

here is a link for the artdock guide to compatibilit

And here is the Surface pro  version

As its listed the Artdock script  doesnt  seem to work on the Lenovo thinkpad S1 Yoga Pen and Touch tablet.

I am sure many other artist will be interrested in finding out and  getting this script working same as it works on the SurfacePro3. This would be a great feature to advertise for Lenovo Thinkpad Yoga and make it more functional as  portable tablet.

Any help getting this script to work is much appreciated !

Thanks in advance for your reply!

Best, Behrooz
