Thinkpad Twist would not power on for 12+ hours

2013-01-23, 17:32 PM

Apparently the battery died.  I plugged in to the adapter and still nothing.  Waited an hour still no sign of life.  I have 2 Twists and used the other to confirm that the adapter was sending power, and I also tried the other adapter.  Plugged it back in and tried a few more times over the course of the evening, nothing.

Finally, the next morning it booted up and has been fine since (3 days). I even let the battery die again, and it booted up right after I plugged it in.

Is there any other way to attempt to boot these up by some other key combination?  Not sure if the power button is buggy or if this was some other issue.

Hey there Biz_Intel_Dev,

This is very curious behavior, by chance when you had the adapter plugged into the Twist during this occurrence, did you notice a small green light to the left of the plug come on? This light should come on when an adapter is plugged and receiving power. Have you experienced any other unusual symptoms with the machine you could tell us about? It does seem pretty irregular.

From what I know toying around with the Twist I have here, there is no other power button or key combination to power the machine the on.

It is always an option to contact support with these concerns, especially recurrences of them.
