Re: Yoga 370 Display bleeding??

Try to test the screen by displaying full screen 50% black,60%, 70%,80%,90%, then 100% black to ensure that the defect is not just "hidden" behind certain colors.

If the screen brightness is set to low brightness (or on battery), it can also hide the defect a bit.

you have all the reason :mansad: :mansad: :mansad:

I did your test and it looked but slight

turned off the computer and turned it on again after 3 hours and ...

So do not take into account what I put before, if you have this problem ask for the change!
I have already called back to lenovo they will send a technician for the change.
Regards!

I noticed the same thing with mine. Sometimes (if you don't use the laptop screen for a day or so), the screen will revert to normal. I read that sometimes the techs will not see the defect since they get to it within 5 business days. Be sure to tell them to run the screen for at least 3 hours. It should start to reappear then.

When I sent the laptop in, I set all of the user accounts to backgrounds that displayed the defect most easily (grey and blue backgrounds for the desktop and log in screens). Be sure to tell them that and also that the backgrounds should be a uniform color. Ask them to play a movie to make it more obvious.

Re: Yoga 370 Display bleeding??

I'm still waiting for the screen change (I live in Argentina, it usually takes a long time).

I have another problem with the screen, although I do not know if it is the screen, the GPU or the configuration.

I have deactivated the light detection but it is not that.

My new problem is that when I'm watching a video (netflix or youtube) in full screen and the application menu and / or subtitle appears, the color of the image automatically becomes "warm".

Does it happen to anyone? I'm afraid it's the GPU

EDIT:

Ok, is Google Chrome issue, I have changed the flag (chrome://flags) "Override software rendering list" to disable and it was solved. Sorry!

Re: Yoga 370 Display bleeding??

Last week I received the change of my display, it has a better color and does not present the problem of the stripes on the edges.
The problem that is still presented on this screen is: if I am running a program with a lot of black and I pass to the browser (for example) that has a lot of white it shows how the brightness is increasing, it is very annoying. I have tried disabling the auto brightness and the saving of intel graphics but it also happens.

I have a milder version of this - with horizontal lines appearing at the left top corner of my display. Mine was manufactured sometime in July-Aug 2017.

I used Lenovo Support's Parts Lookup to check that this is the LG display no 01HY320. I also noticed that there are a lot more display panel FRU substitutes then when the Yoga 370 first launched, with another LG one 01HY321, 2 Sharp ones 01HY322/3 and 1 "Laibao" 01LW129.

Hopefully whichever one they order will be alright - I was informed they are ordering the screen replacement in but not which model.

@gemmoglock How is the new screen performing? Do you know which model is it ? It seems that most yoga 370s come with this panel...The notebookcheck.com has reviewed a 370 with the Sharp model on it and it sheems almost perrfect after calibration..The LG one i have isnt performing as good, (its warmer and the blue hues are way off) it seems that it needs at least a calibration profile to get better..

Hi,

Does anyone has screen problem for Yoga 370 like this ?

I'm not using this laptop much, mostly as backup for last 3 years, but when I turn on recently, it just have screen burn like this and it is out of warranty now.....

Does Lenovo actually have a recall or exchange for batch production quality problem like this, regardless it is within warranty or not ?
