touch screen and pen

I have x1 Yoga.  For years my touchscreen could be turned off so the screen would only respond to the pen.  Now both are on and the screen is sensing my knuckles and responding to them when I am writing with the pen or selecting options with it.  How do I turn off the touchscreen but preserve response to the pen?  I have Windows 11 Pro.

Re:touch screen and pen

Hi Hello tacone and welcome to community forums!

I understand your concern. You can try disabling the touchscreen feature in the device manager. Here's how you can do it:

  1. Press Windows + X and select Device Manager.
  2. Expand the Human Interface Devices category.
  3. Find the Touchscreen device in the list. (The name may vary)
  4. Right-click the Touchscreen device and select Disable device.
  5. You'll be prompted to confirm if you wish to continue, click Yes.

Please note that this will disable the touch feature entirely, but the pen input should still work. If you want to enable the touch feature again, you can follow the same steps but select Enable device instead.

If this doesn't solve your issue, I recommend updating your drivers using the Lenovo Vantage app.

Re:touch screen and pen

I just want to check if you were able to sort this out. If not, here are other options:

Reinstall the OEM image through the link below but you need to back up your files before proceeding.
