Re: Auto Rotate, Special Buttons and System Update All Not Working
Hmmm. I love my Twist. Except now three things have all happened and I am afraid this will keep just falling apart slowly.
The hard set auto rotate key (above the power button) work to rotate the screen. In fact if left in Auto Rotate (Windows+O) the screen will sometimes rotate appropriately and sometimes not. I used to be able to work around this by turning off Auto Rotate and then rotating as desired using the side key but alas, this works no more.
Then, there are the special keys up top - the function keys - except not the function aspect, just the presets for All Apps, Open Apps, Settings, Wireless, and Zoom. For some reason these do not work but the Volume and Brightness keys work fine.
Then, the System 5 update seems to have taken a vacation. When I go to run the update manually the splash screen comes on but the program never loads and after about a minute the splash screen goes away. So sad.
Any advice here? It is under warranty and when I called Lenovo they gave me a case number and said someone would call me. Instead what happened was the next day an empty box showed up with a packing ticket. I assume they expect me to ship them my laptop. I think my computer would have to be totally useless before I would ship my laptop to someone who finds it too inconvienent to actually call me back.
If you cannot tell my skill set when it comes to understanding and implementing suggestions is fairly limited so please treat me like a complete idiot when replying.
Thanks,
Aaron
