From my side I can update this, that we have sent a X380 to the Lenovo Labs to analyze the issue. According to my contact there, they were not able to reproduce the issue at any new x380 in the lab, however I was able to reproduce the problem on all X380 i got in my hands. No matter if straight out of the box with a stock image, or with a fully patched stock image, or with our own Enterprise Image. But I have only tested on Windows 10 1703 and 1709.
By this issue also only the X380 is affected. All other Thinkpad models i got into my hands work fine and supply sufficent CPU Power over hours of full load. T480s, X1 carbon, P51, T470s, 370 yoga, all work without any issue.

Yep, I'm with you there DJ51. I'm seeing this on all X380s I've tested. Those who use a lot of apps this seems to affect the most.
I've opened a customer satisfaction case with my account reps, hopefully I'll get farther along. Just waiting to be contacted back.
I've attached a word document with my findings.

I get your point, if I would use the X380 Yoga as a personal device I would do the same. But this kind of tweaking is a bit unuseable in a Enterprise IT department with 1000+ devices...
