Battery not detected on Lenovo thinkpad 11e Yoga

The battery for my lenovo product is not deteted, we have tried restarting the computer multiple times. Any suggestions for what I should do? I cannot download or install updates without my battery being detected.

Re: Battery not detected on Lenovo thinkpad 11e Yoga

Hi Astha,

Welcome to Lenovo Community! And happy to have you here.

As I understand that you have issue regarding Battery not getting detected in ThinkPad Yoga 11e

I’ll start with basic first

Try Resetting the system once with Reset hole which will be in the base of system.

Check the status in Power Manager.

Disabling the built-in battery following this

  1. Turn off your computer and disconnect the ac power adapter and all cables from the computer. 2. Turn on your computer. When the ThinkPad logo is displayed, press F1 to enter ThinkPad Setup.
  2. Select Config Power. The Power submenu is displayed.
  3. Select Disable Built-in Battery.
  4. Click Yes in the Setup Warning window, then the computer will be turned off automatically. Wait three to five minutes to let the computer cool.

Once Battery is disabled follow this

Connect AC Adapter and Start windows. Uninstall Microsoft ACPI-Compliant Control Method Battery from device manager under the battery tab.
Shutdown, Remove AC Adapter,
Enable Built-in battery again, Reattach AC Adapter. Now, Power up and check

I hope the above information helps.
