The battery for my lenovo product is not deteted, we have tried restarting the computer multiple times. Any suggestions for what I should do? I cannot download or install updates without my battery being detected.

As I understand that you have issue regarding Battery not getting detected in ThinkPad Yoga 11e
I’ll start with basic first
Try Resetting the system once with Reset hole which will be in the base of system.
Check the status in Power Manager.
Disabling the built-in battery following this
Once Battery is disabled follow this
Connect AC Adapter and Start windows. Uninstall Microsoft ACPI-Compliant Control Method Battery from device manager under the battery tab.
Shutdown, Remove AC Adapter,
Enable Built-in battery again, Reattach AC Adapter. Now, Power up and check
