Re: Brand New Lenovo ThinkPad S3 Yoga 14 Sleep/Wake problems

Another quick problem. I opened Lenovo Settings, and it just kept loading...it never actually opened. And when I would maximize the window, the frame would fill the screen but the contents would stay the original size of the not maximized window frame.

Re: Brand New Lenovo ThinkPad S3 Yoga 14 Sleep/Wake problems

Hi ashtray

I will recommend you to not worry much and start updating the drivers. Run Lenovo's System Update, update the drivers and reboot. Check "Windows Update" for any new update. After the mandatory reboots check if you still get this problem. Otherwise it is good that you still have the option to return the laptop.

Let's us know if updating the drivers helps you with the issue.

Re: Brand New Lenovo ThinkPad S3 Yoga 14 Sleep/Wake problems

Just got another problem. When Switching to tablet mode, it does not respond to any touch. When I switch it back to laptop mode, the task bar is offset and you can only read the month digit of the date and no time.

I'm a newbie to windows..honestly. Can someone please tell me how to update drivers and where to check if anything needs to be updated? Thank you for you alls time in helping me.

And one more thing...Lenovo Settings just will NOT open. I've shut down the pc, restarted it and in both cases it still does not open Lenovo settings. I just sits there loading.

Re: Brand New Lenovo ThinkPad S3 Yoga 14 Sleep/Wake problems

Okay. So.

UPDATE.

The only driver that need an update was the Intel Graphics one. I updated it.

Then, I went to windows system update, and it needed one for a touch pen and for Internet Explorer Security for Windows 10.

The Touch pen, and Intel driver updates were installed...I think. Then Internet Explorere Security for Windows 10 could not update, it just kept saying there was a problem.

Now that my laptop has been "updated," the mouse has been inverted. So now down is up and up is down. I had no idea I did anything to reset it. I like down is down and up is up.

I've restarted it. Is that a reboot?

Help...pulling hair out...must study..can't focus with these problems present.

Re: Brand New Lenovo ThinkPad S3 Yoga 14 Sleep/Wake problems

Hi

"Lenovo Settings" was also not working for me. Until today when the it gave me an error that I required to update other lenovo component. (System Interface Foundation)

It asked to download this: https://download.lenovo.com/enm/sift/core/SystemInterfaceFoundation.exe

It is a 100MB file.

Now "Lenovo Settings"  works fine for me.
