Can't power down Yoga 260

After shutting down my Yoga 260 it doesn't shut down completely. The FN-Key LEDs indicators are still on, same with the power LED. The fan is still turning when the laptop was hot before the power down.

Only way of turning it off is by pressing the power button for multiple seconds.

The phone support means its a battery/system board problem and thus a hardware problem. I'm getting a replacement, but i'm not enterely sure its not a driver/software problem.

The BIOS logo takes forever to show after boot/reboot, I think this has something to do with the problem too.

Re: Can't power down Yoga 260

Hello. Could you try the following?
1. uninstall the Intel Management Engine Components
2. reset energy profile options to defaults
3. cold reboot

EDIT: Your problem sound simillar to this thread: https://forums.lenovo.com/t5/forums/v3_1/forumtopicpage/board-id/EN-win10/page/2/thread-id/1698

Re: Can't power down Yoga 260

is it correct to resett the power settings via this window (sorry for the german screenshot)

I already tried this option but i can do it again.

Now my touchpad isn't working anymore after flipping the Notebook from the Tabletmode to the normal Laptop stand, not sure if this is from the same cause.

Re: Can't power down Yoga 260

Here is a detailed guide to do this. It's for an HP laptop but it should work for you. Except where in the post it says to download HP drivers, download Lenovo drivers and your problem should be fixed.

EDIT: Yes, sorry the text editor is kinda buggy adding links. (:

Re: Can't power down Yoga 260

I can't find an old working Intel Management Engine version that works for windows 10 64-bits. Lenovo doesn't seem to provide a link.

Then you can try one from the official intel page.

Re: Can't power down Yoga 260

Can't find one for my platform either, sorry.

Version 9/10 are mostly not compatible with windows 10 or aren't compatible with my board, if they are W10 compatible.

Its not even possible to install the newest version (10.7 or 10.8) from the correct lenovo driver site.

Re: Can't power down Yoga 260

Have you tried using the Lenovo recovery USB to recover the system?

Re: Can't power down Yoga 260

No, I think I will install Windows fresh after the battery/system board replacement.
Is there a guide how to use the recovery USB correctly? Last time i tried the USB didn't start the Windows 10 installation on the cleared SSD.
Should i install Windows 10 and use the recovery USB after that?
