Can you turn off touch screen when using the active digitizer pen?

Hello,

I bought my Yoga 260 to use on training courses where I write most of the day on-screen with the active digitizer pen.

But, my hand leaves lots of marks on the document becuase the screen thinks when you are resting your hand on it that you want to draw there.  The older tabletPCs didn't have this problem.  I can't use the unit for the intended purpose because of this, i still have to use my old tabletPC.

How can I turn off the touch feature, so the screen only recognizes the pen?

Thank you

Did you ever figure this out? I use the screen to draw on and my palm frequently will launch other apps. Its extremely annoying.

Re: Can you turn off touch screen when using the active digitizer pen?

Yes, I did finally figure it out:

Press: Windows Key + x

Open: device Manager

Click on: 'human interface devices'

right click on: 'HID compliant Touch Screen" and select "disable"

Now the physical touch doesn't work, but the pen does. It's a little awkward at first, but I am turning it off and on all the time now, and it's second nature.

I am suprised there is no button for this--I can't imagine anyone is productive using the pen with touchscreen enabled.
