My laptop's screen is shattered and is no longer protected under warranty. I have been having a very hard time locating the correct replacement part for the model which is a ThinkPad Yoga 12. I was hoping someone here might be able to point me in the right direction, as replacing a screen is far cheaper than buying a new laptop.

Warm Greetings & welcome to Lenovo Community, happy to have you here.
Sorry to hear that, can you help me with the Machine Type Model. You can also choose LCD panels from System Service parts list
I hope the above information helped you.

the serial number has worn off, i can give you a the "IC" number or the "label P/N" number on the black sticker on the bottom of the laptop, otherwise I don't know how to get you more info than thinkpad yoga 12

If it will output to an external screen, you'll find the serial number in the BIOS setup screens, or in Windows open a command prompt and run the command "wmic bios get serialnumber"
What difference would warranty cover have made in this situation?
