I recently purchased a Lenovo Thinkpad Yoga 14 (20FY). The problem I've been having is when the battery reaches about 25%-30%, it suddenly drops to 6% and I'm alerted to charge the battery. Any idea what this is happening and how I can fix this?

I'm currently attempting to battery gauge reset but have run into problems. I had to stop the reset once and I accidentally unplugged the AC adapter another time after it reached 100% ( I thought I had to unplug it for it to discharge). Now the battery laptop is plugged in but it says it's not charging and is slowly going down in percentage (I noticed it wasn't charging at 97%).
Update: it is charging again.

What will happen if you try the "reset battery" again?
Just in case, on the "Lenovo Settings" do you have the "Battery Charge Threshold" enabled? If so it can be good to turn it off for some days to test the battery.

I do not have it enabled. I'm attempting to reset it again. It seems to be working normally so far. One question I do have is: is it okay to leave the laptop plugged while I go to work? I plan to finish step 1 (charging to 100%) soon and then leave the battery to discharge fully overnight. Step 3 is to fully charge it again but I have work at 6am. If I plug it in then leave to work for 8 hours and come back to unplug it, would that affect anything? Or would it be better to wait to charge it after work so I can unplug the laptop as soon as it's done?
