Lenovo Yoga 14 USB ports ALL broken

I've had my Thinkpad Yoga 14 (20FY) for a little over a year now. And one by one over the months, the plastic inside each USB port would break off as a unplugged peripherals in a normal fashion. I feel this might be a defect considering I've never had this problem with any other computer in my life, much less all three ports.

So anyway, has anyone had this problem? I'm looking for replacement USB sockets online but can't find them for this model.

Re: Lenovo Yoga 14 USB ports ALL broken

Welcome to the forum!

Unfortunately the USB ports are soldered to the motherboard, so unless you have the right soldering equipment (and skills), I'm afraid you will need a motherboard replacement.

I guess you could try to solder new USB sockets, (something like this? -->  click me). I don't think there will be Yoga 14 specific sockets.

I hope this helps!
