Lenovo Yoga S1 Digitizer Stops Working after converting to tablet mode and back again

2015-10-24, 4:16 AM

I have a problem where the digitizer pen interittently stops working on the yoga S1 - win8.1 x64 with all updates applied.

I can re-create the issue by folding the screen from normal mode to  tablet mode, then normal mode , then tablet mode. At this point, the pen susually stops working.

I can get it to come back to life sometimes if i wait a minute, or if i go to power settings and apply / un apply something or by restart.

It sounds like a driver issue to me - and possiby power management drivers - triggered by swithcing to tablet mode.

I have tried max perfromance, min power savings etc to stop the screen driver being starved of power, have disabled sleep and hibernation. Done multiple driver re-installs, but no difference.

Sometimes restarting the drivers relating to the pen and touch screen bring it back to life. But it should not die in the first place.

Anyone else have this or do i have a hardware issue?
