Lenovo Yoga S1 Fan not working

Hello,

My S1 (i5 4200U, 8gb) is overheating. At idle the CPU temperature hovers around 50C and under light loads (web browsing) goes up to 70+C and I have seen 90+C while installing big applicaitons.

I cannot hear any fan operating so installed Speedfan to try and diagnose the issue. Speedfan can't find a fan at all, but the schematics of the laptop clearly show that there is one.

The serial number MP04T19L and it has the latest Bios 1.38 and drivers. Any help would be appreciated.

Re: Lenovo Yoga S1 Fan not working

Does the fun work when you are inside of BIOS? If it doesnt work, I think you have hardware problem.

And can you say, after which manipulations you find this problem? How old is your laptop? Maybe it will be neccecary to clean  the fun?
