I wanted to provide clarification on the use of Mini DisplayPort to HDMI/DVI dongles on Yoga 14 (20FY), Yoga 460, and P40 laptops.
Due to a design limitation, the miniDP to HDMI/DVI dongle is unsupported on these models. Lenovo has released a Service Tip regarding this limitation. It can be found here: https://support.lenovo.com/us/en/documents/SF16-T0022
A list of supported dongles can be found in the Safety, Warranty, and Setup Guide which can be found here under User Guides - Safety, Setup, Troubleshooting, and Warranty menu: http://support.lenovo.com/us/en/products/Laptops-and-netbooks/ThinkPad-Yoga-Series-laptops/ThinkPad-...

Does the same design limitation regarding miniDP to HDMI/DVI/VGA dongles not being supported apply to the Yoga 260 (20FD) as well?
I have had only intermittent success with a Yoga 260 (20FD) and the following adapter: http://www.amazon.ca/dp/B00WHR06XK/ref=pe_386430_121528420_TE_dp_2
Usually video-out via the HDMI or VGA ports on this adapter will work fine. At other times, seemingly at random, no video-out (from the miniDP port nor from the dedicated HDMI port on the right side of the laptop) works on my 20FD machine. I have had to completely re-install the Intel HD graphics driver (22.214.171.12452) to get video-out working again.

On the Yoga 260, miniDP to VGA dongles are supported as documented in the Safety, Warranty, and Setup Guide available here: http://support.lenovo.com/us/en/products/Laptops-and-netbooks/ThinkPad-Yoga-Series-laptops/ThinkPad-...

However, you'll note that the supported dongle is only miniDP to VGA, not to HDMI/DVI/VGA.
I suggest swapping out your current multi-type dongle with a miniDP to VGA to test. If the supported dongle fails, please contact Lenovo Service for Support. If it works with no issues, your current dongle may be the cause of failures.

I need to connect two HDMI displays to this laptop (BB Yoga 14 / 460) and I'm willing to invest into OneLink+ dock (40A40090US). Is it possible that a $1.000 rig with two GPUs (one integrated and one discreete) has no means to output two HDMI signals? :/
I've also posted here.

Well that's bad... Is there any clarification if this "limitation" affects all cables or just the Lenovo branded adapter? I might have a cable to return and an angry face to calm.
