Hello, I have an ThinkPad S540 (out of waranty) and some how he is in a no init state when i power on he restarts 3-4 times (screen is black with no light) an after restarts he remain turned on with only the red dot on, if i pull the mem out i get the missing ram error so that's why i think the bios is the problem.
Thank's in advance and sorry about my english

If you can not access the BIOS of the computer I think it is bad news.
About the Mainboard, with Thinkpad laptopts you can always check the Maintenance hardware to see how to install the mainboard and check on the support site for the part number that you require to replace.
For example here it is the support site for the ThinkPad S540, if you select "documentation" on the top you can find the parts document for the model. Here is the list of the FRU (part numbers) for the TP S540 that you need to request a replacement.
Please double check your model number with the parts.
You can also open a ticket with the Lenovo Service Center of your location and get a proposal on how much it will cost you to replace/fix your Thinkpad.
