In the last four days my battery (45N1141) full charge capacity has dropped from 63% of design capacity down to 20%. The battery itself is only 20 months old. D:<
Solution Centre also says it is cactus.
1. Is there any chance this is not the battery, but something else at work?
2. I did not extend the warranty, so I'm wondering what my next move should be. Suggestions??
Thanks in advance,

About your request #2, you may:
a) Send the computer to the Lenovo support center for they to check the battery and replace it. They will tell you the cost.
b) You can check the support site of the Thinkpad S440 and on documentation find the Maintenance Manual and the parts manuals, so you can check which is the part number of the battery to order to the Lenovo support center.
If you like to open the laptop yourself to change that it is always good to read the "Maintenance Manual".
