My Lenovo Thinkpad S531 gives me an error message whenever I restart the computer which says that the UUID is invalid. This does not affect the performance but is really annoying due to the beeping noises.
I found out that this error can be solved by using the WinPhlash.exe to backup the BIOS. Unfortunately, the program shows me the error code -100: BCPSYS block signature was not found.
What can I do to avoid this error message or how can I reenter the UUID of the motherboard to the BIOS. I do not have a warranty anymore and every part is an original part from Lenovo.
I use Windows 7 64bit.
Please help me, because I feel like I searched through all the internet and that I pretty much found out how to get rid of this annoying error but another error prevents me from doing so.
Thank you and have a nice day!

When you look at the BIOS screen, does the UUID appear as zeros or as some junk number?

the BIOS shows the number like the following:
Machine Tyoe Model Invalid
System-unit serial number Invalid
System board serial number Invalid
Apparently you need the Lenovo Hardware Maintenance Disk to reset those numbers but I could not really figure out how to get this disk.
Also I tried to flash the BIOS with WinPhlash (I have a Phoenix BIOS) but it also gives me error messages.
It seems like I knew how to get rid of the error, but my system does not allow me to operate the solution.
Help is appreciated.

Only dealers and service providers have the disk.

As richk relates, the resource is restricted.
You may want to contact Service (info below) and inquire about a servicer near you who could assist.
