I just upgraded to Windows Insider 17074 and now the Fingerprint stopped working. (Error 31) in Device Manager (Windows is not able to load the driver)
I already tired to reinstall Synaptics Metallica MOC Touch Fingerprint Driver for Windows 10 (64-bit) - ThinkPad

Fingerprint sensor no longer working on Yoga X1 in build 17074. This has happened in previous Insider builds, but removing or deactivating it in Device Manager and then simply re-adding it has always worked. That is no longer the case in 17074. Reinstalling the driver also does not resolve the problem. It's a preview build... so I understand these things can pop up. Just posting to add my voice so the right folks know to look into it.

I downloaded this version and it worked on my X1 Yoga Gen 1 with the pre-release 17074 Windows 10 64 bit
https://pcsupport.lenovo.com/au/en/downloads/ds120295. No need to disable SGX. Uninstall device and select to remove drivers. Reboot. Install this driver. Reboot. should come up ok.

I did the same, turned off Intel SGX in BIOS, reloaded the 3/5/2018 Synaptics driver and the fingerprint reader re-appeared as SGX disabled but now works. Not sure why Lenovo, Intel and Microsoft couldn't just make this all work, but every Windows update breaks this and I have to fiddle with it to make it work. (My Mac just worked.)
