I have been searching the forums and other sources to fix my wifi issues (checking drivers, changing adapter setttings etc) without success. Other devices in the same position and the same access point get good signals (quality 75%+) and connect with high throughput (5 GHz N or AC). The Yoga 15 signal is poor (quality 25% or so) and will not connect. Suspect this will be a warranty return or even a refund.
I noticed most forum entries are about the 7260 wifi card so just wanted to check if anyone had overcome similar problems with the 7265?
Thanks in advance.

Don't have Yoga 15, we have preliminary tested Yoga (7260-AC dual) and Yoga 12 (7265-AC dual) at6 different locations with different APSs both indoor and outdoor. So far, haven't seen any significant differences. I doubt it is the model, likely specific machine or just that card (can be software or hardware - e.g. antenna) you have
signal strength in -dBm

Good news. In preparation for returning the laptop I used the refresh feature in 8.1 and the Wifi is now running excellently. I guess my problem was some sort of driver corruption or similar which the refesh sorted out although, as far as I can tell, all of the driver version numbers etc are the same as when I was having problems. Re-installing apps etc is a bit of a pain but not as much as sending the laptop back.

Another bit of the puzzle. Since my Windows 8.1 refresh everything was going fine until I installed Microsoft Silverlight (used by several video services such as blinkbox and eurosport) and then the symptoms reappeared. A normal uninstall through the control panel did not help but a system restore back to a point before the Silverlight install gets things working again. Have been able to repeat this a couple of times but can't explain it. Will raise a problem with Microsoft but I hope this bit of evidence might help others out in the meantime.

Latest update: On the advice from the Microsoft forum I have used the Silverlight "fixit" from the Microsoft site to install Silverlight and it all seems to be working and stable. I used the "fixit" previously without success and can't be sure what is different this time but I am happy it is working now.
