ThinkPad Yoga 260 TouchPad stays disabled after tablet-mode

Hi

I have an easy to explain but very annoying problem with my new Yoga 260.
After rotating the screen to the back of the device (tablet-mode) and back again (normal mode). The touch-pad stays disabled.
Keyboard and everything else works fine. I have to reboot the machine to bring the touch pad back to live again.

Drivers are the current one from ELAN.
OS is Windows 10 64Bit

Does someone know how to fix it?

Kind regards
Vanilla

Re: ThinkPad Yoga 260 TouchPad stays disabled after tablet-mode

Hi

I was not able to find anything interesting on the support site of your model:

http://support.lenovo.com/us/en/products/laptops-and-netbooks/thinkpad-yoga-series-laptops/thinkpad-...

I checked the change on the ELAN drivers from 12/1/2016, but it does not says anything about the touchpad not recovering from tablet mode.

http://support.lenovo.com/us/en/products/laptops-and-netbooks/thinkpad-yoga-series-laptops/thinkpad-...

If you already installed this driver and didn't work, I don't have more ideas about it.

Regards

If nothing else try disabling sensor hub in bios. It's located under the security tab. You can get into bios by tapping f1 at the Lenovo splash screen when the system is first starting to boot

I had this exact same issue. I uninstalled all Lenovo drivers and reinstalled them including the Intel Integrated Sensor Solution and it started working properly.

Re: ThinkPad Yoga 260 TouchPad stays disabled after tablet-mode

I suspect there are certain drivers, possibly Lenovo, that interfere with the Integrated Sensor Solution driver. I have seen multiple threads about this issue now. As I mentioned before, try uninstalling all Lenovo programs from Programs and Features, then reinstall them. That worked for me.
