ThinkPad Yoga FN keys

Hi,

I completely reinstalled windows 8.1 pro on my ThinkPad Yoga. After that I installed all drivers including updates provided by Microsoft and Lenovo (using Lenovo system updater 5).

But I can't use all FN keys (meaning the special functions like opening the windows 8 settings pane bar...) Also the orange led is lighted up on the F1 key (I guess this should indicate that my speakers are muted - but this led is always on).

What should I do or what do I have to install in addition to use all FN special keys including the correct indication of the mute-LED?

Re: ThinkPad Yoga FN keys

download ThinkVantage System Update, it should download the necessary driver package for you.

Re: ThinkPad Yoga FN keys

Hi Jin Li,

thanks for this hint - currently the support website of Lenovo is offilne. But I already installed "Lenovo System Update 5". I checked now again, but there's nothing left I could install or update.

Is ThinkVantage System Update != Lenovo System Update 5 ?

Re: ThinkPad Yoga FN keys

do you have the on screen display installed? check under uninstall menu under control panel.

Re: ThinkPad Yoga FN keys

No, I didn't find something like that...

I noticed that I also cannot use the microphone mute (I know this feature from my T430). I can't find any driver which I might have missed to install :-S

Re: ThinkPad Yoga FN keys

I found this software using google (Lenovo seems not have listed all software when I select my laptop model, e.g. the Lenovo Solution Center is also not listed)

Now the hotkeys work. Thanks for your help ;-)

Re: ThinkPad Yoga FN keys

Out of the box, my Thinkpad Yoga S1's function / hot keys worked perfectly.  Now the f9-f12 keys no longer function as hotkeys.  I found the f10 (search), f11 (switch between programs) and f12 (metro) pretty useful.

I made sure that I have the latest Hotkey Features Integration 5.41 installed, and they still don't work.  I'd appreciate any advice!

Thanks,

Adrian

Having same issue with Yoga 260. Any luck on finding the fix to this?
