ThinkPad s430 cannot install proper bluetooth driver on Windows 7 x64

2015-02-23, 13:44 PM

Hello.

Recently I bought bluetooth headset (harper HB-400) and tried to connect it with my laptop

What I made - Clicked "add a device" in "bluetooth devices'" icon in task bar, saw my headset and clicked it. But it didn't appeared in Playback deviced.

I couldn't check what services afford that headset, and after a while i desided to update bluetooth drivers.

(Recenlty I've changed my HDD to SSD and made a clean install)

What I have now - I can't properly install any of drivers for bluetooth.

If i try that drivers (from Intel)

http://support.lenovo.com/us/en/products/laptops-and-netbooks/thinkpad-s-series-laptops/thinkpad-s430/downloads/DS029592

installer said that he "cant start bluetooth OBEX Service"

if I try drivers from Broadcom, it says that there is no bluetooth devices

I tried Lenovo System Update 5, but it offers same driver from Intel which I can't install..

I start all installers "as administrator"

==

Now I have three unrecognized devices under "other devices" tab in device manage - 3x "bluetooth peripheral device"

Under "bluetooth radios" I have "generic bluetooth adapter" and "microsoft bluetooth enumenator"

Under "network adapter" I have "Bluetooth Device (Personal Area Network)" and "Bluetooth Device (RFCOMM Protocol TDI)"

Searching a device shows none of them (not my phone nor headset)

clicking "show bluetooth devices" folder shows empty folder with infinite search progress on top of the window

clicking "open settings" on "bluetooth devices" icon from task bar opens nothing

Help me please..

Yes, sometimes there are conflicts to installl bluetooth drivers manually, because there are files you might miss. Why not try a drivers update tool for help? Such kind of tool can automatically find the best-matched Bluetooth drivers and install the drives correctly -- it is much more effective. You can have a try with DriveTheLife, which is a professional Bluetooth driver update tool.
