where can I find the charging indicator on the Thinkpad Yoga? When I'm charging the machine (turned off) I don't see any light or other charging indicator. Is this normal?

Welcome to Lenovo Community Forums!
I’m sorry to inform you that Lenovo ThinkPad Yoga doesn’t have a dedicated indicator for charging status.
The illuminated dots in the ThinkPad logo on the outer lid of your computer and on the palm rest show the system status of your computer:
• Blinks for three times: The computer is initially connected to the power.
• On: The computer is on (in normal mode).
• Off: The computer is off or in hibernation mode.
• Blinks fast: The computer is entering sleep or hibernation mode.
• Blinks slowly: The computer is in sleep mode.
Hope this clarified your query!

we've been a long time customer of your laptops and phones from the very first thinkpad. It confuses us as to why you would not include a charging indicator in your yoga series which is more expensive from the other series and still does'nt comply with the same level of user interface as the pervious thinkpads.
Since it is not clear if the laptop is charging, i am having to open the screen everytime to check if it is charging or reconnect the charger to see the three blinks.
Is it not possible to provide a software update that could use the thinkpad LED as a long term charging indicator as opposed to a quick three blinks. If the expensive series doesnt have all the functions then we cant think of a reason to buy it over a cheaper edition.
Since we've been one of your biggest fans, buying all of your newer models and recomending it to everyone we meet, it would be really nice of you to let us know if there are or might be any plans for a software update to provide this functionality.
